Week 4 of my 6 week clean eating challenge
Whenever I get a craving, at first I think it is always physical. But when I start to think about when I last ate, and if I have had enough water (because a side effect of dehydration is feeling hungry) I can usually squash that feeling by keeping myself busy or drinking water. Then when my stomach starts growling I know it's actually physical hunger.
The point of this week was to try to teach my mind how to recognize the difference between the physical and emotional hunger and react appropriately to each. Boy was that a challenge. That emotional hunger can be so loud at times making me think it must be physical.
To help me try to end this 6 week challenge on a high note I am going to lead another FREE 5 Day Clean Eating Challenge in the last week. In this challenge you are provided with a clean eating menu for the whole week, a grocery list, recipes, motivation, support and 1-1 coaching. Plus I throw in a free Shakeology sample to all my group participants. Last month I did this challenge by myself for 7 days and I lost 5 pounds! Yup 5 pounds in 7 days! I was also exercising, but I always exercise and there are plenty of weeks that I gain, so I know the difference this time was the clean eating.
Nutrition has always been the biggest battle for me and learning about clean eating has really helped me realize what I should be eating, and what I should stay aware from.
Seriously this challenge group is worth joining. There is no calorie restriction, if you are hungry, eat more, just make sure you eat clean, that is the only rule! Do this with your husband, a friend a co-worker, anyone who will help hold you accountable!
